How to Be Saved
Have you ever wondered what you must do to be saved? This is a question all of us must consider because we know that all of us have sinned (Romans 3:23). Fortunately, God has made salvation available to all of us because He desires all to be saved (I Timothy 2:4). God offers salvation to all of us, but He requires us to be obedient (Acts 10:34-35). Below is what God demands from us to have our sins washed away.
We must hear the word of God and obey His commands (Romans 10:17, Matthew 7:24-27).
We must believe that Jesus is the son of God and have faith that He can save us (Hebrews 11:6, Mark 16:15-16).
We must repent from our sins (Acts 17:30, Luke 13:3). Repent simply means that we should turn away from our sins and start living in a righteous manner.
We must confess that Jesus is the Son of God (Matthew 10:32-33).
We must be baptized to have our sins washed away (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:15-16).
We must also remain faithful (Revelation 2:10).
The most important thing to remember when becoming a Christian is that it is not just a one-time action, but rather it is a commitment that you are making for the rest of your life. When you become a Christian, you are giving your life to Christ (Galatians 2:20).
